At When I Work, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. Actual base pay will depend on your job-related skills, qualifications, experience, and location, and other factors. For Minnesota based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is between $95,000-110,000 USD. Other benefits include:

The product team at When I Work is responsible for developing the vision, product, and go to market strategy for the company. When you join this team, you'll work with customers as well as marketing, sales, finance and engineering to identify, build, and bring new features and products to market. You'll be uniquely positioned and empowered to make a huge impact in the lives of hourly employees.
What You'll Do
- Own the design process, deliverables, and outcomes for our customer acquisition team, while also contributing to other feature teams
- Iterate quickly as part of an experimentation-oriented product delivery team focused on new customer acquisition and onboarding success.
- Design innovative and delightful product experiences as part of a highly collaborative product and development team
- Practice design thinking techniques to guide exploration with users, make insights visible across teams, and validate assumptions in the most efficient way possible
- Gather qualitative and quantitative data from a variety of sources to fully understand challenges at scale. Measure and refine iteratively-delivered solutions to delight customers and achieve business goals
- Facilitate collaborative design sessions to gather a variety of perspectives and build shared ownership with cross-functional teams
- Produce workflows and interaction designs that translate raw ideas and insights into new products or features hypotheses.
- Help define both long and short-term vision and roadmap to accomplish business, product and design team goals
- Leverage the design techniques best suited to achieve goals (e.g. surveys, interviews, prototyping, usability testing, design specs)
- Share stories. Write about and present what you learn with internal partners, executives, and stakeholders as well as the broader community

Experience and Skills Needed
- 3-5 years experience in product design, UX, or similar experience.
- Proven expertise turning complex, business-critical problems into simple and engaging products and experiences across web, iOS and Android
- Expert knowledge of product design & UX techniques, usability principles, best practices & trends
- Ability to share compelling stories about your designs and their impact on customers and the business
- Instrumental in shaping design vision & strategy at the company and program levels
- Ability to create mockups and prototypes in Figma
- Highly empathetic, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, not required, but preferred
- Experience in a high growth, SaaS environment
- Experience building software for small to medium sized businesses
- Experience in a high velocity, experimentation-oriented, product growth team
