Ortho Technicians: Key Roles and Responsibilities
Whidbey General Hospital's orthopedics department relies heavily on skilled Ortho Technicians like you. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting orthopedic surgeons and assisting with patient care.
- Applying and removing dressings, removing sutures/staples, applying, and removing casts and splints.
- Assisting with back-office duties, including rooming patients, taking vital signs, and assisting with minor procedures.
- Performing basic triage per specific office protocol procedures.
- Recognizing and responding appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols.
Requirements and Qualifications

- A high school graduate or equivalent.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program.
Desirable Qualifications
