Job Summary
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Medical Support Associate - Orthopedics to join our team at Whidbey General Hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our orthopedic surgeons and playing a vital part in delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with patient care, including applying and removing dressings, casts, and splints.
- Support physicians with back-office duties, including rooming patients, taking vital signs, and assisting with minor procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to prescription refill protocol.
- Recognize and respond to urgent/emergent situations according to established protocols.
- Ensure all work areas, exam rooms, supplies, medications, and immunizations are well-maintained.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree not required; however, completion of a Medical Assistant program is necessary.
- At least one year of experience in an orthopedic setting is preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of medical terminology is crucial.
