Job Overview
At Whidbey General Hospital, we seek a skilled Orthopedic Support Specialist to join our orthopedics department. In this role, you will provide critical support to orthopedic surgeons and assist with patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians in back-office duties, including rooming patients, taking vital signs, and assisting with minor procedures.
- Perform basic triage per specific office protocol procedures.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols.
- Maintain work area, exam rooms, supplies, medications, and immunizations.
- Document work processes as required.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A high school graduate or equivalent.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program.
Preferred Qualifications
We prefer candidates with:
- MA with at least one-year appropriate experience in an orthopedic setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
