What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physician - Non-Interventional Cardiologist position at Whidbey General Hospital?
JOB SUMMARY
A Non-Interventional Cardiologist specializes in diagnosing and managing heart conditions without using invasive procedures.
PRINCIPLE FUNCTIONS includes the following, other duties may be assigned :
- Diagnostic Tests : Perform and / or interpret various diagnostic tests, including :
- Echocardiograms : Use ultrasound to visualize the heart’s structure and function.
- Stress Tests : Evaluate heart function during physical exertion.
- Electrocardiograms (EKGs) : Record electrical activity of the heart.
- CAM Patch Tests : interpretation of ambulatory cardiac monitoring devices.
- Order and utilize advanced imaging such as CT, MRI & Nuclear Medicine / PET scans to aid in the diagnosis and therapy of cardiovascular disease.
- Treatment Plans : Develop personalized treatment plans for patients based on test results.
- Medication Prescriptions : Prescribe medications to manage heart conditions.
- Lifestyle Recommendations : Advise patients on lifestyle changes to improve heart health.
- Provide services in an outpatient and inpatient setting as necessary for optimal patient care.
