What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physician Assistant position at WhidbeyHealth?
POSITION SUMMARY
Conduct examinations of new patients, write treatment plans, perform and interpret diagnostic tests and coordinate and plan surgeries. Help the surgeon conduct hospital rounds, and perform occasional tasks such as answering the phone for the surgeon. Assist with surgical procedures requiring other forms of anesthesia only in the personal presence of the supervising physician. A PA may act as first or second assistant in surgery under the supervision of the supervising physician.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's and graduate degree, NBCOPA certification. One (1) year of training and experience. Knowledge of orthopedic medicine; compassionate, caring, and able to perform under stress; good communication and stamina.
