What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Hospice Care After Hours position at WhidbeyHealth?
This position works a 7 days on, 7 days off rotation. This RN also works 8 hours for the evening shift and 8 hours on call.
POSITION SUMMARY
The After Hours RN – Hospice Care is responsible for direct patient care, responding to patient/family needs and providing skilled nursing assessment, planning, supportive care and appropriate services in accordance with the attending physician's orders and the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) plan of care.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred. One (1) year recent Hospice or Home Health experience required. Minimum three (3) years general nursing experience -Med/Surg or Critical Care experience preferred. Experience with providing pain management and infusion therapy experience preferred. Current RN license in the State of Washington. Certification via NBCHPN within 12 months. Current BLS HCP verification. Maintain a valid WA State Driver's License, personal insurance, and is insurable with the District's Insurance Carrier.
