What You’ll Do:
The Mechanical Engineer I role will be a part of a consumer electronics design team working with senior engineers in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of mechanical systems and components. Mechanical Engineer I will work as part of a cross-functional team requiring collaboration and curiosity and will utilize mechanical engineering fundamentals, first principles, prototyping, and CAD to bring exciting and innovative consumer electronics to market.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Assists with the design of mechanical components or systems using CAD software
- Collaborates with senior engineers to develop prototypes, improve designs, and ensure specifications are met
- Performs testing on mechanical systems or components to ensure they meet performance standards
- Analyzes data from tests to identify areas of improvement or potential issues
- Creates and maintains technical documentation, including drawings, schematics, and reports
- Helps in the preparation of manuals and other documentation for project processes
- Assists in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting
- Communicates with suppliers and vendors for components and materials
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams including Electrical Engineers, Industrial Design, Manufacturing and Project Managers
- Will perform other duties as required
Requirements
What You’ll Bring:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CREO, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA)
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, thermodynamics, materials science, and fluid dynamics
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment and effectively communicate technical information
- Enthusiasm and drive!
- Travel to suppliers and manufacturing facilities domestic and overseas
- Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information
- Ability to maintain a professional atmosphere in a fast-paced environment with numerous interactions and interruptions
- A high degree of initiative, self-motivation, and ability to motivate others
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with Team Members and colleagues
- Comfortable with office pets (cats, dogs)
Not Required but nice to have:
- 1-2 years experience in mechanical engineering
- CREO experience preferred
- Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and materials
