What You’ll Do:
The Production Planner and Expeditor are responsible for order processing and order fulfillment across all of Whisker products, coordinating daily, weekly, and monthly assembly schedules for both domestic and international orders. This position will interact with corporate functions such as Customer Service, Marketing, Omnichannel, and Accounting and with plant functions including Manufacturing, Materials, Repair & Recon, Shipping, and Management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Responsible for all daily, weekly, and monthly order processing, planning, scheduling, prioritizing, auditing, and correcting order errors in Manufacturing, Shipping, Repair, and Recon activities.
- Monitors system and effectively communicate processing concerns to appropriate parties.
- Effectively communicates order data to other plant departments and corporate departments (e.g., Warehouse, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Shipping, Customer Service, Marketing, Accounting, Management, etc.)
- Manages all special orders that are expedited through the plant to ensure that commitments are properly communicated and company deadlines are met.
- Coordinates with domestic and international business partners for order processing and pickup.
- Coordinates the movement of finished goods and fulfillment of international orders with the Warehouse Supervisor and Distribution Supervisor.
- Contributes to the continued optimization of our in-house MDB software with the goal of reducing the daily and weekly human involvement in processing orders.
- Utilizes company software to obtain information and generate reports and schedules.
- Develops and maintains a standard monthly metrics report that could include, but is not limited to, the following:
- Finished goods inventory, both on-site and off-site
- Produced units and shipped units
- Outstanding, carry-over units
- Will perform additional responsibilities when required.
Requirements
What You’ll Bring:
- Associate’s degree and/or equivalent years of experience
- Experience with scheduling and processing Production Orders
- Proficient with computer systems including spreadsheets, word processors, ERP systems, web-based operational software, and/or business automation systems; SAP, Magento, and Google experience preferred
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
- Maintains a positive, professional, productive attitude
- Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution center environment where numerous interactions and interruptions can occur
- Has a high degree of initiative, self-motivation, and ability to motivate others
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with team members and colleagues
- Comfortable with office pets (cats, dogs)
Not Required but Nice to Have!
- Experience in export terms and documentation including compliance documents
- Experience with supporting Inventory Accuracy, Physical Inventory/Cycle Counting Practices
- Familiarity with LEAN terminology and the use of LEAN tools
- APICS Certification
- Familiar with SAP/ERP systems
- Proficient in mathematics
- Knowledge and use of Spreadsheets
