Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and operations of our facilities. LONGTERM CARE EXPERIENCE PREFERRED. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities management and be skilled in project management, supervising teams, and maintaining various systems including electrical and HVAC. This role is essential for ensuring that our facilities are safe, efficient, and well-maintained.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of facility maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate schedules for routine inspections, repairs, and upgrades.
- Oversee projects related to facility improvements, including planning, execution, and completion within set timelines with in use of the TELS program.
- Maintain electrical systems by utilizing tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Ensure HVAC systems are functioning optimally through regular maintenance checks and necessary repairs.
- Review schematics to understand facility layouts and assist in planning for renovations or expansions.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime of equipment and systems.
- Collaborate with external vendors for specialized services as needed while managing contracts effectively.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities management or a similar role.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in supervising teams, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC operations, and maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and reading schematics is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with staff at all levels.
