Our Activities Program is an essential part of our residents' well-being, offering stimulation, social connection, and joy every day. We are committed to maintaining a full and vibrant activities team to ensure our residents receive the enrichment they deserve.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, organizing, and leading recreational activities, including arts and crafts, games, music, social events, and exercise programs.
- Engage with residents to promote participation and ensure a fun and inclusive environment.
- Help set up and clean up activity spaces before and after events.
- Maintain activity schedules and track resident participation.
- Support residents in individual and group activities that align with their interests and abilities.
- Work collaboratively with the Activities Director and other staff members to develop and improve programming.
- Assist in special events, outings, and holiday celebrations.
Qualifications:
- A passion for working with seniors, especially those with memory care needs, and creating a positive atmosphere.
- Experience in activities, recreation, or caregiving (preferred but not required).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creativity and enthusiasm in engaging residents of all abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including either every Saturday or every Sunday.
- CPR/First Aid certification
