Position Summary:
This is a hospitality position based at WhistlePig's brand headquarters in Shoreham, VT. The Host's primary responsibilities are to ensure the highest level of guest experience and brand representation. This position is responsible for delivering a first class itinerary to the guests that aligns with WhistlePig's mission to deliver a premium brand experience.
Essential Functions:
Assist with the introductions to the property and people, provide brand education, proactively cater to guest's needs, direct and accompany guests on planned/scheduled off-site excursions, and transportation of guests to and from the airport.
Assist with WhistlePig Whiskey portfolio tastings and with guest barrel picks.
Responsible for the safe operation of the Company owned passenger vehicles and off-road equipment
Participate in Grain to Glass training and other cross-training to promote development and ensure redundancy amongst the team.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience (plus preferred education & experience):
2 years experience working in hospitality
Valid driver’s license
Current Vermont Alcohol Server Permit or able to successfully complete the DLC training within 30 days of employment
Experience leading tours
Experience serving food and beverage and managing a guest’s consumption of alcohol with discretion
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent communication
Excellent attendance
Must be able to work independently and in small teams
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs, lift 40 lbs unassisted
