Position Summary: As a WhistlePig Market Manager, you'll be in market every day, building brand engagement with the trade, in both off-and on-premise channels across market. Maintaining constant contact with distributor teams while activating key accounts within the regional on/off premise universe, you'll drive consumer engagement, trade, and distributor education, and be responsible for the results in your market area. Assisting in executing marketing initiatives & programs as directed by the Regional Manager, our WhistlePig Market Managers roll up their sleeves, think strategically and creatively to achieve specific sales and brand goals week to week, month to month, and year to year. Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Reports to the territory Regional Manager.
- Supports assigned territory’s T&E/OKR goals.
- Spends approximately 90-95% of the time in the market, plus 5-10% on distributor engagement.
- Maintains regular contact with distributor sales teams to help achieve market goals.
- Executes market goals and OKRs as communicated by the Regional Manager.
- Monitors and provides monthly detailed recaps of activities and programs.
- Assists in preparing and executing monthly & quarterly business reviews, as well as supporting monthly Distributor GSM’s; Work Withs; and training in assigned markets.
- Executes all National Account Programs as directed.
- Conducts brand training and presents the brand’s features and benefits to distributor teams and key accounts.
- Supports consumer and trade events to enhance brand awareness and engagement.
- Trains Key Accounts and distributor teams on brand story and attributes
- Shares industry and competitive activity insights with the team.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of bev alc industry experience in sales, marketing, or brand management.
- Demonstrated experience growing markets with an entrepreneurial spirit; exhibiting passion, ambition, and hard work to deliver against goals.
- Must be results-driven and detail-oriented; you own the market budgets and goals, creating company growth.
- Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate and inspire others cross-functionally is a must here.
- Able to work both independently and in with the region's group and wider company - one of the team, even with a team of 1.
- Self-disciplined and flexible self-starter, with confidence and commitment to work independently and meet all project deadlines, including frequently working outside normal business hours.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required, including the experience and ability to present in front of both large and small audiences at any level.
- Passion for spirits and craft production - we love what we do. So should you.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Standing for an extended period of time
- Ability to pick up and/or move objects up to 35 pounds without assistance
- Ability to drive and visit multiple accounts in one day
- Ability to travel in an automobile and airplane
- Ability to ascend or descend stairs
- Ability to navigate in an office environment and retail grocery store
- Willingness to travel, including overnight trips, 25-50% of the time
- Must reside in the territory market area - we're looking for a local with existing relationships to hit the ground running.
- Must be able to travel as needed for training and meetings.
