Role Overview
As an associate, you'll work directly with partners and senior associates to develop the entrepreneurial judgment needed to represent innovative technology companies. Rather than being asked to "stay in your lane," you'll build a broad skill set that forward-thinking clients truly value and depend on.
At this firm, you will :
- Take a leading role in negotiating, drafting, and closing SAFE, convertible note, preferred stock (NVCA) and token-based financings
- Oversee paralegals in forming legal entities across domestic and international contexts
- Provide crucial support to founders and C-Suite executives running high-growth tech companies, including :
- Reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements
- Preparing corporate governance materials (board documents, minutes, consents)
- Managing company cap tables
- Research evolving legal and regulatory developments affecting blockchain and other emerging technologies
- Guide inventors and engineers in designing breakthrough products, balancing product-market fit with legal risk mitigation around securities, commodities, sanctions, money transmission, and consumer protection
- Create content that establishes your thought leadership and personal brand in the tech law space
