What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Cashier position at Whit Davis Lumber Plus?
We need a friendly, dependable cashier to keep things running smoothly at checkout. If you’re good with people, can handle a cash register, and don’t mind staying busy, this could be a great fit for you. You’ll be the last person customers see before heading out the door—so a smile and a good attitude go a long way!
Hours: M-F: 12-5. Every other Saturday: 8-12.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Ringing up purchases—cash, card, checks, you name it.
- Helping customers with questions or pointing them in the right direction.
- Keeping the checkout area clean & stocked—nobody likes a messy counter.
- Handling returns & exchanges the right way.
- Jumping in where needed—because teamwork is how we get things done.
What We’re Looking For:
- Retail or cashier experience is great—but not required!
- A friendly, helpful attitude (because good customer service keeps people coming back).
- Someone who can work a register and handle money accurately.
- Dependable & ready to work—we need folks who show up on time and get the job done.
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs when needed.

Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour
