We are seeking a dedicated Shift Leader to supplement our team. Shift Leaders oversee daily operations, ensure excellent customer service, and lead a team in a fast-paced and fun environment.

Job Type: 25-35 hours per week (day, evening and weekend availability a must)
Position Purpose and Objectives
Ensures that all guests receive immediate attention, take their orders and serves their food and beverages promptly and courteously. Ensures that guests are not ignored at any time throughout their experience. Through teamwork, assists other members of department in achieving departmental standards and goals, while providing an enjoyable experience to every guest. Additionally, responsible for the supervision of staff to ensure food safety, cleanliness and service standards are achieved to ensure an enjoyable customer experience and the successful operation of the business.
Essential Position Functions
· Greets all arriving guests in a pleasant manner, making them feel welcome.
· Provides outstanding service to our guests in a professional and courteous manner.
· Arrives to work with a clean, neat appearance and on time in accordance with the weekly schedule.
· Maintains a neat and well-groomed personal appearance at all times and adheres to dress code.
· Upon opening the store for operation, ensures that all areas are clean and accommodating, and in accordance with established quality standards.
· Familiarizes self with menu, paying particular attention to specials and proper pronunciation of menu items.
· Prepares and keeps all stock prepared and ready for use on each shift, including custard, quarts, pints, cakes, cups, cones, spoons, napkins, toppings, etc.
· Participates in the continuous cleaning and up-keep of all areas.
· Takes and verifies guests order while complying with the proper standards for inputting into the POS system.
· Consistently charge all guests appropriately.
· Makes guests orders according to their request and/or standard menu recipes.
· Serves only items that meet strict standards, as outlined by the menu specifications.
· Handles and counts cash, makes accurate change, processes credit cards from guests properly.
· Ensures that workstations are properly refilled and meet Par stock level at the end of every shift.
· Sets-up and breaks-down tables, chairs, displays, theme decorations and other equipment as requested.
· Attends meetings as requested to receive instructions and important information.
Other Functions
· Handles any problem that might arise both courteously and professionally.
· Operates within all guidelines, policies, standards, and constraints as established by the company. Assist in the implementation of mandatory standards of operations as they relate to the operation.
· Employees holding this position will be required to perform any other job related duties as requested.
Additional Functions
· Manage, supervise and direct staff accordingly to ensure cleanliness and service standards are obtained, as well as the successful operation of the business.
· Inspect staff to ensure proper standards of dress, food safety, order preparation, and service are achieved.
· Ensure opening and closing checklists are completed in accordance with operational and cleanliness standards.
· Ensure staff is aware of specials, as well as any additional important information.
· Set-up, breakdown and clean custard machine.
· Run custard to meet PAR stock levels.
· Receive and resolve customer and service complaints to ensure the guest has an enjoyable experience.
· Manage and oversee employee complaints and issues to ensure a harmonious working environment and the successful operation of the business.
· Ensure the General Manager / Ownership is aware of all customer and employee complaints and issues.
· Complete end-of-day reports, register reconciliation, cash drop and closing/securing the store.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
· Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
· Ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions independently.
· Ability to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally, up to 45 pounds frequently, and up to 25 pounds constantly.
· Good verbal and organizational skills.
· Ability to use logical or rational thinking to solve problems
Supervisory Responsibility
· Hospitality Staff.
Working Condition
· Works primarily indoors, with potential exposure to an outdoor environment. Possible exposure to sharp and rapid equipment movement hazards, sharp utensils, dangerous chemicals/solvents if proper safety procedures are not followed
· Must be able to work rapidly during rush periods.
· Schedule varies with the needs of the business. Weekends and holidays are a must.
· Moderate physical work, and performing such activities as bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting and grasping for up to six (6) hours without sitting.
Education and Training
· Thorough knowledge of food safety, handling and preparation that comes with passing the ServeSafe course.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
