Position Overview: We are seeking an / Crew Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in glass installation, excellent leadership abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. This role involves overseeing and executing various glass installation projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and Fabrication:
- Measure, cut, and install glass for windows, doors, mirrors, shower enclosures, and other structures.
- Fabricate and install commercial aluminum storefronts, entrances, and curtain walls.
- Ensure all installations meet company standards and client specifications.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and lead a team of glaziers and assistants on job sites.
- Provide training and guidance to team members to enhance their skills and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Coordinate daily work assignments and manage project timelines effectively.
- Project Management:
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders to determine project requirements.
- Communicate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project clarity and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of materials used, time spent, and project progress.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to promote a safe working environment.
- Maintain and inspect tools and equipment to ensure they are in proper working condition.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a glazier, with at least 1 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Proficiency in installing various types of glass and glazing systems, including commercial storefronts and curtain walls.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team.
- A desire to lead.
- Commitment to workplace safety and knowledge of OSHA regulations.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour
