GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Whitco is seeking an Inspector to join our Atlanta office. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting roofs and providing accurate inspection reports to the estimating department.
Candidate must have a great attitude, be self-motivated, detail oriented and a team player. It is important that this candidate is proactive in a fast-paced, dynamic, rapid-development environment
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Travel to customer’s locations and inspect roofs.
Communicate with customers and assess roofs as directed.
Measure roofs, take core samples and perform overall roof take-offs.
Work closely with the sales department, estimating department, service department and operations department to provide them with accurate information for the creation of proposals for customers and project completion.
Ensure customer databases are updated.
Understand workflow and job processes within the company.
Travel to customer’s locations and inspect roofs.
Communicate with customers and assess roofs as directed..
Work with Production Division to quantify accurate costs for means and methods.
Measure roofs, take core samples and perform overall roof take-offs.
Enter detailed Scenario Notes in the Edge to inform Account Executive of what has been included in the estimate.
Work closely with the sales department, estimating department, service department and operations department to provide them with accurate information for the creation of proposals for customers and project completion.
Thoroughly review and understand all construction documents (plans, specs and addenda) for projects you are estimating.
Ensure customer databases are updated.
Understand workflow and job processes within the company.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION SKILLS
Organizational, Analytical, Problem Solving and People Skills.
Computer skills (proficient in MS Word, Excel and Bid Estimating Software)
Commercial and Industrial roofing experience
Experience with: Single-Ply, Modified, BUR, Metal, Shingles, Tile, and Coatings
Able to climb up & down ladders.
Ability to travel as needed.
Understanding of specification driven bidding processes.
Ability to read/interpret architectural drawings and perform project take offs.
Valid driver’s license
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent
3 years relative experience in the commercial roofing industry
Spanish a plus
