About the Opportunity :
As a Quality Engineer III, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the quality processes, ensuring that our products meet customer and regulatory requirements, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, manage quality control processes, and mentor junior engineers to promote a culture of quality throughout the organization.
Location : Thomasville, GA
Responsibilities :
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions using Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Lead or participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective / preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues.
- Conduct regular internal audits and support external audits to ensure compliance with quality management systems (QMS), industry standards (ISO, ASQ, etc.), and regulatory requirements.
- Preparing and maintaining QMS documentation and processes for management review, ensuring they meet customer and industry standards. Support efforts for certification and re-certification processes (ISO 9001, TS16949, etc.).
- Analyze quality data, monitor performance, and identify trends. Generate reports and present findings to management, recommending improvements based on data analysis.
- Work with the supply chain team to evaluate and improve supplier performance. Conduct supplier audits, develop quality improvement plans, and ensure that suppliers meet quality expectations.
- Mentor and train junior quality engineers, technicians, and other staff on quality processes, tools, and techniques. Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams during the design and development of new products. Ensure that quality requirements are met and that new processes and products comply with standards.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements in all quality-related activities. Stay up to date on changes to industry regulations and adapt processes accordingly.
