What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Case Manager/Teacher- Northwood, NH position at White Birch Educational Services?
White Birch Educational Services is a clinician owned small business in New Hampshire. We provide school psychologists, social workers, BCBA's, mental health counselors, and other related service providers to schools throughout New Hampshire.
We are currently seeking a full time Special Education Case Manager/Teacher. Services will include working with students, their families, and faculty members.
Responsibilities may include:
- Case management and providing services to students
- Work with students who have learning, mental, emotional, or physical disabilities
- As part of an IEP team, prepare student education plans consulting with families and faculty
- Lead the implementation of individual education plans across all school settings
- Monitor plans to ensure compliance and that the student is benefitting from services provided
- Provide research-based individual and group instruction that supports the curriculum and IEP goals and objectives
- Conduct special education evaluations and reevaluations
- Provide direction, supervision and evaluation of paraprofessionals as directed
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and caregivers about issues
- Other duties deemed necessary by the school district as appropriate for the role
Requirements:
- Valid NH licenses and certifications required
- Experience working as a Special Education Teacher, being part of an IEP team, and have strong collaborative skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills
