Overview
White Birch Outfitters is growing! Our winter business has become a year-round. We need your help! This candidate will be a person who skis and/or snowboards a lot and understands the sport. (25 days/year preferred)
Responsibilities
- Our core value begins with treating our guests the very best possible and focusing on exceeding their expectations.
- Help customers find the right gear within our store.
- Operate cash register.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions and sales to inform customers.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Physical labor including heavy lifting, carrying boxes and equipment
- Helping with odd jobs inside the business
- Self-starter who is able to work independently with minimal direction
- Uphold cleanliness and organization standards throughout the store.
- Assist with printing garments and accessories
Experience
- This person is involved with snowsports and has serious passion and understanding of the latest trends in ski and snowboard
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store settings is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash register operations.
- Experience with retail math is a plus.
- Supervisory experience is advantageous but not required.
Some hours are long, and sometime it gets extremely busy, however this may be the most fun job you will ever have. This is really a "mom and pop" business. This is our first full-time year-round employee. We are constantly changing and evolving.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.96 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
