Job Summary
Responsible for supervising a team of inbound and / or outbound support associates. Ensures accurate product shipments are made to the customer promptly based on customer requirements and maintaining inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, and delivering items. Supervises the process for finished goods inventory and day-to-day operations of people and processes, following shop rules, policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
- Supervises shipping and receiving operations, manage associates, provide direction, and monitor performance.
- Implements and maintains effective outbound shipping processes to ensure accurate and on-time delivery of orders.
- Ensures incoming freight is tracked and warehoused appropriately. Monitors the unloading of all materials into the receiving area.
- Maintains shipping and receiving records and documentation and resolve related issues such as damaged goods, delays, and discrepancies.
- Coordinates product returns and repairs. Develops and monitors key performance metrics and prepare reports related to safety, waste, quality, and productivity.
- Oversees the safe operation of warehouse equipment and power tools of assigned area. May be required to deliver employee training on operational processes, systems, tools, and equipment.
- Collaborates with Quality Assurance team to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitors staffing, workload, and performance results to ensure that workload and performance outcomes meet business requirements.
- Addresses and works to resolve customer complaints and quality issues promptly. Implements customer feedback to improve product quality and customer satisfaction.
