Job Summary

Build, maintain, and innovate on analytic reporting suite to support pricing team and business insights. Gather disparate data from various sources, analyzes and normalizes the data to ensure quality of data for analysis. Responsible for providing consistent, relevant, and accurate data as well as understanding / knowledge of the data and definitions that are available for analysis. Primary tools are Tableau, Power BI, and Microsoft Excel.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

Development and Maintenance of Reporting Systems : Design, develop, and maintain a comprehensive reporting suite using Tableau and Power BI. Ensure these tools effectively display key business and pricing performance metrics.
Oversee and manage the underlying databases that feed into the reporting suite. Ensure data integrity, perform regular updates, and optimize database performance.
Advanced Visualization Creation : Develop sophisticated visualizations that clearly communicate complex data and analytics to stakeholders. Tailor these visualizations to meet the specific needs of different audience segments.
Innovates on current and new processes using creative problem solving.
Automation of Reporting Processes : Implement automation techniques to streamline the reporting process, reducing manual effort and enhancing efficiency.
Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with various teams to ensure that the reporting suite meets organizational needs and supports strategic objectives. May serve as Team Lead. May train Analysts.
Training and Support : Provide training and ongoing support to team members on the use of the reporting suite. Foster a data-driven culture within the organization.
Quality Assurance : Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure accuracy and reliability in all reports and data visualizations. Ability to troubleshoot and identify root cause of issue quickly and efficiently.
Strategic Insight Contribution : Play an active role in strategic discussions by providing data-driven insights and recommendations to guide pricing and business strategies.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Nature and Scope

Identifies key barriers / core problems and applies problem solving skills to deal creatively with complex situations. Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems. Makes decisions under conditions of uncertainty, sometimes with incomplete information, that produce effective end results.

Independently performs assignments with instruction limited to the expected results. Determines and develops an approach to solutions. Receives technical guidance only on unusual or complex problems or issues.

May oversee the completion of projects and assignments, including planning, assigning, monitoring and reviewing progress and accuracy of work, evaluating results, etc.

Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills, with logical approach to formula-based solutions and ability to quickly implement new calculated fields or measures based on understanding of desired end result.

Work Environment

Remote with light travel required on an ad hoc basis (a few times a year).

Education and Experience

Typically requires BS / BA in an analytic, business related, or mathematic discipline. Generally 4-8 years of experience in a related field OR MS / MA and generally 3-5 years of experience in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

4 years in an analytic role - Required

Demonstrated experience building ad hoc Tableau reports - Required

Tableau Prep Builder - Required

Strength in SQL - Preferred

Pricing experience - Preferred

Experience connecting to Databricks, Snowflake or other data warehousing systems - nice to have.

This is a remote position.
