Job Summary

standards, and operational goals are attained. Provides support to Senior Distribution Center leaders.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities And Key Accountabilities
- Supervise and manage associates in assigned areas of responsibility by providing direction, communicating objectives, monitoring performance, and providing feedback; identifying training and development needs and providing opportunities for learning and growth; teaching and upholding Supply chain and company policies and procedures; and participating in the hiring, promotion, coaching, and training of associates and leaders.
- Investigate and resolve associate, customer, and supplier issues, using own judgment or consulting others as appropriate.
- Develop, implement, and manage the assigned area's business plan in order to achieve facility goals (e.g., production, quality, and safety) and to identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the assigned area.
- Maintain and support compliance with supply chain and business quality standards, regulations, and established procedures across the facility.
- Forecast and monitor staffing, workload, and performance results to ensure that workload and performance outcomes meet business requirements.
- Experience provides solutions.
- Ensures that work is performed consistently with company policies and procedures.
- Leads a group or team of support, craft, or lower level professional associates.
- Usually located in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds in a physical environment.
- Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes.
- Ability to make repetitive movements, such as bending, or squatting.
- Typically requires overnight travel 5-25% of the time.
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 5 years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
- Experience in a Distribution Center start-up operation - REQUIRED.
- Experience in a management role within an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment.
- Extensive knowledge of operations or supply chain processes.
- Supervisory or people management experience. Extensive OSHA, DOT, ADA regulatory knowledge.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience developing and managing budgets, managing P&L, monitoring regulatory compliance, and analyzing financial/operational data.
- Senior-level experience managing multiple functional areas (e.g., receiving, shipping, QA, order filling) within a warehouse or Logistics network.
- Experience in a management role within an operations, distribution, or logistics environment in a non-climate-controlled warehouse.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and implement solutions utilizing the Microsoft suite of business applications.
- Experience leading associates remotely at multiple locations.
