Ammonia Refrigeration Technician
White Castle Distributing, LLC - Vandalia, OH
Non-Exempt
2nd Shift: 2:00pm - 10:30pm (Hours and scheduled days may vary)
The Ammonia Refrigeration Technician Coordinator will manage the NH3 refrigeration system, maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations relating to this system, and be the point person to troubleshoot and maintain the system in its entirety.
What we are looking for
- High School Diploma or GED required;
- Possess a working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration system (both theory and applied);
- Have a full understanding and formal training in Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management programs (RMP), and how to apply both to a working system;
- Be highly organized and able to systematically develop solutions to problems while following PSM/RMP procedures and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) procedures;
- Perform mechanical functions in a thoughtful and safe manner.
What you will do
- Inspect the system in its entirety according to established inspection schedule;
- Monitor the system continually via computerized monitoring system and record all pertinent data;
- Coordinate improvements or repairs to the system;
- Communicate and train plant team members on safe practices when working around an ammonia refrigeration system;
- Coordinate with outside agencies for knowledge, interventions, and solutions;
- Work in conjunction with Facility Manager and OEM suppliers to develop solutions and make decisions affecting the system;
- Supervise 3rd party maintenance requiring system entry;
- Update and maintain all documentation related to the PSM/RMP program.
