The WCD Vandalia plant is looking to fill an opening for a Lead Warehouse Associate. This position will assign Material Handlers their daily job duties, as well as work with other department Supervisors to ensure the warehouse runs as smoothly as possible. This position will assist the Warehouse Supervisor in training warehouse Team Members on food safety, including SQF, GMP’s and HACCP. Lead Warehouse Associate

White Castle Distributing – Vandalia, OH

Non-Exempt Position

2nd shift hours - 2:30pm to 11:00pm (hours may change based on the needs of the plant)

What we are looking for

• High School diploma or equivalent;
• Forklift operating experience;
• Able to become licensed for the operation of a forklift and motorized hand jack;
• Computer use in order to alter truck loading paperwork when necessary;
• Strong communication skills and leadership ability;
• Assist and direct warehouse team members to meet their job requirements;
• Experience with WMS/ERP warehouse software preferred.

What you will do

• Record nightly inventory of finished product, meat, cheese, and all raw materials used during production;
• Scan and monitor raw materials, packaging materials and finished products using WMS/ERP warehouse software;
• Pull, stage, and supply adequate amounts of raw materials to production while following GMP’s and food safety requirements;
• Assist in loading finished products and unloading raw materials while ensuring shipping documents and quantities are correct;
• Ensure the proper storage and rotation of finished product and raw materials;
• Assist the Warehouse Manager in training the Warehouse Team Members on forklift operations and Alchemy training.

AVAILABILITY TO WORK & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Working in various temperate conditions and loading trucks in -10-degree temperatures;
• Standing for long periods of time;
• Lifting up to 70 pounds waist high 8 to 10 times per shift and lifting 10 pounds 350 times per shift;
• Reaching heights up to 7 feet and pulling 10 pounds from that height 10 to 15 times per shift;
• Ability to work overtime and Saturday.
