As Superintendent, you will own the day to day supervision of all field activities on multiple commercial construction projects. Primary duties include oversight of teams, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and that work is proceeding on schedule. Superintendent is also responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control and job site safety.

Projects are located throughout San Diego County.

Responsibilities:

• Schedule and manage teams and subcontractors on a daily basis, including monitoring and controlling performance, reviewing plans and blue prints and keeping the clients happy.
• Ensure that subcontractors are executing and complying with contracted scope of work.
• Communicate with project team (Project Manager, Project Coordinator, Architect or Space Planner and Client) regarding ASI’s, RFI’s and submittals.
• Identify conflicts in schedule or any unforeseen challenges, and communicate them to the project team for fast resolution.
• Maintain safe, secure and healthy work environment by following and enforcing company standards, procedures, jobsite rules and regulations, complying with OSHA regulations and conducting weekly onsite safety meetings.
• Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
• Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
• Perform superintendent duties on multiple job sites simultaneously.
• Maintain daily log (written) of daily activities on the jobsite.
• Perform completion punch lists.

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience as a Superintendent with a commercial general contracting company; must have worked on tenant improvement projects.
• Able to step in and have an immediate impact.
• A strong leader with the ability to influence and build trust.
• Proficient in reading and understanding blue prints, plans, specifications, shop drawings, and project construction schedules.
• Tech savvy with computer proficiency in MS Word / Excel / Project
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Reacts well under pressure; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of title; accepts responsibility for own action; and follows through on commitments of work.
