Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions :

Communicate, promote, and comply with all MasTec Renewables Safety policies, goals, vision, and campaigns to the project team

Promote the safety culture onsite by working with the Site Safety Manager to ensure personnel are able to maintain a safe working environment
Work with Field Quality Manager to ensure the quality of the Project is meet client and company specifications
Work with Superintendents, Field Engineers and Field Quality Manager to have all work in compliance to the jobsite specifications
Communicate consistently with local Union Business Manages and Field representatives from Unions
Attend project Pre-job meetings and work with Director of Labor Relations on all Union communications
Manage the project team with the Project Manager (PM)to facilitate an environment for all management and supervision staff to work in a respectful, constructive, and positive
Oversee Project Superintendents, Union construction workers, Subcontractors, and manage vendors with material supplies
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable
Monitor and direct the progress of the construction site
Assist Assistant Project Manager / PM with project schedule updates
Recognize the need for and negotiate Change Orders facilitated by APM / PM
Work with Superintendents on project staffing needs for Union labor and project equipment requirements
Monitor budget project costs to ensure project costs are within budget
Ensure production schedules are maintained to measure time, production and meet requirements of project.
Monitor compliance with set
Ability to study project cost indexes and change / adapt to benefit the project
Study, communicate, and improve on productivity analysis provided by Project Manager
Keep records in a systematic, well-organized
Monitor all required paperwork for entire
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form to large employee groups, owners or engineers.
Maintain and enforce discipline throughout the
Assist in the interviewing and hiring of direct reports
Train direct reports, plan, assign and direct work, appraise performance; reward and discipline employees, address complaints and resolve problems
Work with the Client's site management team to ensure their expectations are being met and that they are satisfied with a safely constructed and quality-installed product
Work with the PM to ensure the Client's expectations are realistically managed and aligned with the agreement and scope of work.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience

Seven years of construction industry experience / knowledge of construction techniques, estimating and construction management

Previous experience in a supervisory role

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required :

Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward MasTec Renewable's Zero Injury principles

Ability to organize, instruct and supervise a construction crew in all facets of construction

Ability to estimate

Considerable knowledge of all construction tools, machinery methods and procedures

Must be able to forecast and monitor costs of project

Understanding of construction methods, scheduling and blueprint reading

Ability to demonstrate leadership, motivate workers and communicate with workers and superiors

Computer literate in Microsoft office E-mail, Internet, all MasTec Renewables forms, Excel spread sheets, all documents, photos and field time entry

Ability to work well under pressure and within timelines

Ability to read and interpret documents like safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization

Ability to calculate figures and to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in math
