Job Description
The Assistant Project Manager is a critical role within our organization, responsible for overseeing the coordination and execution of projects from start to finish. This includes working closely with our engineering, estimating, and operations teams to ensure that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and efficiently. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating engineering studies and change order requests
- Preparing and submitting submittals and requests for information
- Working with owners and clients on specifications and technical questions in planning stages
- Coordinating with regional managers on project status
- Creating subcontracts and PO's
- Tracking job costs and predicting monthly revenue streams
- Managing QA/QC on projects
- Identifying, researching, and resolving contract disputes with the Owner
- Maintaining prime contract with the Owner or Client
- Establishing monthly billing procedure with the Owner or Client
- Reviewing general conditions cost on a monthly basis
- Reviewing subcontractor's application for payment based on percent complete and approving or adjusting
- Approving material and subcontract invoices for payment
- Issuing change orders to subcontractors
- Initiating and executing all monthly progress payments to the Owner
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of five years of construction industry experience/knowledge of construction techniques, estimating, and construction management
Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
