ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
The following duties are normal for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Must provide patient care at their level of licensure when staffing a BLS ambulance
- Must support the EMT-P when partnered on an ALS ambulance
- Must enroll in the next available EMT-P course approved by director
- Operate the ambulance in a safe manner.
- Must clean and inventory the ambulance within the first 60 minutes of the shift.
- Return the ambulance to "ready status" as soon as possible after returning to service.
- Execute all forms necessary for patient care according to WCEMS standards.
- Perform tasks as set forth by Administration, and other documents.
- Must immediately report any actions against your EMT license or Driver's license
- Must report any legal actions pending against those licenses
- Must submit to a Hepatitis B vaccination or any other required vaccines or sign a form indicating refusal.
- Must submit copies of updated licenses, certifications, or authorization
- Must submit to a physical exam when requested
- Must maintain all required training relevant to job responsibilities, or State mandates
