Project Manager

The Electrical Project Manager is responsible for overseeing electrical projects from inception to completion, ensuring safety, quality, budget compliance, and customer satisfaction. This role includes developing and maintaining client relationships, managing project schedules, controlling costs, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Project Management

• Preserve the integrity of 114 years of serving the interests of our customers and shareholders and enhancing the professional reputation of the Company.
• Foster a superior customer service attitude across all employees and sites.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of electrical projects to ensure they align with company goals and objectives.
• Implement project policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and risk management strategies.
• Collaborate with field leaders to resolve any project-related challenges.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company safety standards.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
• Conduct project kick-off and close-out meetings.
• Approve and track purchase orders, ensuring budget alignment.

Client & Stakeholder Relations

• Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Represent the company professionally in industry and community organizations.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and resolve project concerns efficiently.

Leadership & Team Development

• Supervise and mentor Assistant Project Managers, Superintendents, General Foremen, and other project personnel.
• Promote a collaborative work environment and encourage professional growth.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

Financial & Resource Management

• Maintain profit and loss responsibility for assigned projects.
• Monitor project budgets and implement cost-control measures.
• Analyze project financials, including cost projections, labor efficiency, and billing accuracy.
• Track and process change orders in coordination with clients.

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce strict adherence to safety policies and industry regulations.
• Ensure field teams follow proper protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
• Conduct regular site visits to assess compliance and resolve safety concerns.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in electrical construction, including project management and estimating.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive project success.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in project management software, scheduling tools, and financial tracking.
• Understanding electrical codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
