White Flower Farm in Morris, Connecticut is recruiting full-time and part-time Seasonal Garden Associate Cashiers (Seasonal Store Associate) for our Retail Garden Store. The Seasonal Garden Associate Cashiers will work from early April thru late summer. Flexible work shifts are available Monday through Sunday between the hours of 9:00am to 5:30pm.
Position Summary:
The Seasonal Store Associate is the utmost front-line representative of WFF for in person visits by long-time mail-order customers, local shoppers, and area tourists. The Seasonal Store Associate is the White Flower Farm brand representative for customers. The Seasonal Store Associate greets customers, completes sale transactions, and contributes to an overall positive experience for store and display gardens visitors.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Represent and reflect the core values of the White Flower Farm brand which includes quality products and services.
- Accurately, pleasantly and swiftly complete sales transactions for retail customers while ensuring a quality customer experience for each guest.
- Complete cash register transactions using the POS to ring out cash, credit, or gift certificate sales.
- Provide customers with assistance in person or over the telephone with questions regarding inventory, hours, policies, directions, and plant concerns. Direct customers to appropriate resources (garden advisors, websites, manager and etc.) for information and answers to challenging questions.
- Comply with all Store protocol to include escalating more complex matters, product return procedures and other departmental policies.
- Participate in Store activities including stocking, watering, cleaning, sweeping, tagging, moving carts, and keeping the store neat and presentable.
- Perform opening and/or closing Store activities when required.
- Participate in Company and Store special events.
- Work in and support other departments as needed.
