To become a New Jersey Licensed Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) , you must meet the following requirements:
- Successfully complete a homemaker-home health aide training course approved by the NJ Board of Nursing.
- Pass a competency evaluation administered by an NJ-licensed home healthcare agency.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Must have High School Diploma or GED.
- Be eligible to pass a background screening.
- Work under the supervision of a professional registered nurse.
- Note: Once certified, you will be listed in the State Registry as a Licensed Certified Homemaker-Home Health Aide.
