Course Layout

The classes will be conducted as follows :

First  2 weeks (9am-5pm ) via Zoom.

3 days  9 : 30am-4 : 30pm  require in person attendance for skills participation

To become a New Jersey  Licensed Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) , you must meet the following requirements :

  • Successfully complete a homemaker - HHA, home health aide training course approved by the NJ Board of Nursing.
  • Pass a competency evaluation administered by an NJ-licensed home healthcare agency.
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Must have High School Diploma or GED.
  • Be eligible to pass a background screening.
  • Work under the supervision of a professional registered nurse.
  • Note :   Once certified, you will be listed in the State Registry as a Licensed Certified Homemaker-Home Health Aide.
