Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical procedures. As part of a Level I Trauma Center, you will work in a fast-paced environment that requires strong clinical judgment and the ability to respond swiftly to patient needs. This role is critical in ensuring patient safety and comfort during the recovery process.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients' vital signs and overall condition post-surgery.
- Provide immediate post-operative care, including airway management and pain management.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations to determine patient needs and responses to treatment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care activities.
- Assist with esthetic laser treatments as required.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding recovery processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures.
