Keeping patients and their families informed about surgical procedures. Administering medication and using medical equipment under the direction of a surgeon. Respondin g to sudden changes in patients’ health and managing occasional emergencies . Keeping good records and maintaining patients’ charts. Working with surgeons, medical / surgical nurses and post-acute caregivers to create comprehensive patient care from pre- to post-op.
