Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Travel Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality patient care in various healthcare settings. As a Travel Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in diverse environments, including Level II Trauma Centers, while gaining valuable experience across different specialties. Your role will involve delivering exceptional nursing care to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety during their stay.
Duties
- Provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
- Perform catheter care and venipuncture as required for patient treatment.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify needs and develop appropriate care plans.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective case management and continuity of care.
- Implement infection control protocols to safeguard patients and staff.
- Offer compassionate support to patients and their families, particularly in geriatrics settings.
- Adapt quickly to new environments and work effectively under pressure in various clinical settings.
Skills
- Proficiency in catheter care and venipuncture techniques.
- Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of infection control practices and medical documentation standards.
- Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to develop tailored care plans.
- Familiarity with Athenahealth or similar electronic health record systems is a plus.
- Effective case management abilities to coordinate patient care across multiple disciplines.
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals effectively.
- Ability to work independently while being adaptable to different healthcare environments.
