Job Overview
A professional home organizer provides specialized services to help clients declutter, organize, pack, and unpack their homes. These services are designed to simplify the process of moving, downsizing, or simply improving the organization of living spaces. The role involves working closely with clients to understand their needs, develop personalized solutions, and implement systems that promote efficiency and comfort in their home environments.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Organizer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a variety of roles to include positions in the field and in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Decluttering:

  • Assist clients in sorting through personal belongings and making decisions about what to keep, donate, sell, or discard.
  • Offer advice on how to reduce clutter while keeping important and meaningful items.

2.Organizing:

  • Develop customized organizational systems for different areas of the home (closets, kitchens, bathrooms, offices, etc.).
  • Arrange belongings in a way that maximizes space and efficiency, ensuring everything has a designated place.

3.Packing Services:

  • Provide packing services for clients who are moving, ensuring that belongings are carefully packed to avoid damage.
  • Use appropriate materials and methods for different types of items, including fragile and valuable possessions.

4.Unpacking Services:

  • Once clients have moved, assist with unpacking and organizing belongings in the new home.
  • Set up systems that support long-term organization and ease of access.

5.Product Recommendations:

  • Recommend storage solutions, organizing products, and furniture that can help clients maintain their newly organized space.
  • Offer suggestions for ongoing maintenance to prevent clutter from reoccurring.

6.Ongoing Support:

  • Provide follow-up sessions or advice to ensure clients are able to maintain their newly organized spaces.
  • Assist with seasonal reorganization or any future needs as requested.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of effective decluttering techniques and organizational strategies.
  • Ability to handle sensitive client situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on creating aesthetically pleasing and functional spaces.
  • Experience with packing and unpacking, including using appropriate techniques for different types of belongings.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, depending on the client’s needs.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing to drive up to 60 miles to client's home or business location.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is typically performed on-site in clients' homes, which may involve varying environments and physical tasks, including lifting boxes or furniture.
  • Scheduling flexibility is often required, as clients may need assistance on weekdays, weekends, or during evenings, especially when preparing for a move.
  • Requires travel to multiple locations or client homes

Important Notes:

  • Travel will not be compensated unless traveling over 60 miles
  • Hours are not guaranteed

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 4 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Morning shift
  • Weekends as needed
