The Revenue Optimization Analyst will support the revenue generation team by recognizing trends and opportunities. This position will assist in multiple markets and brands, providing an extra layer of analysis to maximize the value of each hotel.
Responsibilities
- This role will focus on providing revenue management support to hotels.
- Must be passionate about using data, quantitative analysis, and sophisticated analytics to develop optimal pricing, profitable revenue, and to drive change.
- Provide inventory management functional expertise to Revenue Managers.
- Use knowledge of technical and managerial applications of reservation systems and yield management systems and their utilization by each brand.
- Assist in demand forecasting, rate management, and setting inventory restrictions.
- Will assist with selling strategies and inventory restrictions that capture the optimal revenue producing business for the hotel.
- Responsible for daily technical tasks related to the use of the Revenue Management Systems and reports.
- Utilize a variety of historic reports, pacing, segmentation, and pricing reports to enhance the forecasting processes.
- Aid in diagnostic analysis of hotel’s channel mix to optimize profitable revenue.
- Create and analyze ad-hoc reports as needed/requested.

- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of any data querying software (e.g. Cognos, Tableau, etc.)
- Training and/or experience using a statistical package such as R, Matlab, SAS, SPSS, or Stata.
- Training and/or experience with Tableau (or similar)
- Training and/or experience with linear programming, data envelopment analysis, or data mining techniques
- 1-3 years of work experience preferred
