What are the responsibilities and job description for the KFC/Taco Bell Malone - Shift Supervisor position at White Management Corporation?
GENERAL: Shift Leaders are the day to day lieutenants of our restaurants. Shift leaders shall be professional, thoughtful, honest, and diligent within the restaurants’ four walls and within the greater community. White Management expects Shift Leaders to reinforce a healthy workplace where respect, accountability, and kindness rule. Shift Leaders shall take on certain, specific, operations level tasks within the restaurants – train and coach team members, manage personnel deployment on shift, manage crew member breaks, and assist the leadership in the realization of Company or Brand goals.
GUEST SATISFACTION: Shift leaders shall focus on the daily satisfaction of guests by managing the crew members during shifts. Shift Leaders shall ensure compliance with Company and Brand standards to ensure happy guests. Shift Leaders may be called on to diffuse a dissatisfied guest with the LAST method.
OPERATIONAL SYSTEMS AND ACCOUNTABILITY: Shift Leaders are responsible for ensuring that Operational systems are in use and achieving 90% compliance, ie. “Cleanway,” “Redbook.” Shift leaders will often take on specific tasks within the Operational Systems as its Champion. For example, a shift leader may be tasked with Championing Drive Thru times, Redbook completion rates, or specific tasks or restaurant areas for the Operations Audit.
TEAM COACHING: The Shift Leaders are responsible for carrying out the directives of Management within a specific shift. As such, Shift Leaders shall provide team member coaching in accordance with Management directives, shall lead with enthusiasm, positivity, and good faith. Additionally, Shift Leaders will assist with crew member deployment, ensuring that “Aces are in Places” and that idle time is spent productively…if there’s time to lean, there’s time to clean.
CREATE HEALTHY WORKPLACES: As part of the leadership team, the Shift Leaders shall reinforce a healthy, professional environment. Open communication, fairness and honesty are paramount to a healthy workplace.
HUMAN RESOURCES: The Shift Leader is responsible for ensuring all laws and regulations are observed (during a shift) as dictated by Company policy, state and federal labor laws, and Equal Employment Opportunity guidelines.
CASH CONTROL and Paperwork: The Shift Leader is responsible for ensuring that cash, credit, and gift card transactions are entered correctly into the POS during their shift.
