Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all dental instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained in accordance with health and safety regulations. This role is critical in supporting the clinical staff by providing a safe and sterile environment for patient care.
We would be willing to also train the right candidate to become a dental assistant.
Hours will be Monday-Wednesday 10-6 and every other Saturday 8:30-2pm

Duties
- Perform sterilization of dental instruments and equipment using appropriate methods and protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes, including monitoring and documenting sterilization cycles.
- Ensure compliance with infection control standards and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of instruments for various dental procedures, ensuring they are ready for use.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on sterilization equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure a smooth workflow within the clinic.
- Stay updated on best practices in sterilization techniques and infection control.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control practices.
- Familiarity with endodontics procedures is a plus.
- Understanding of medical terminology, medical coding, medical imaging, and medical records management.
- Proficiency in using Eaglesoft or similar dental software systems.
- Strong anatomy knowledge relevant to dental care.
- Experience with X-Ray procedures is advantageous.
- Previous work experience in a dental clinic or similar healthcare environment is preferred.
