As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for splicing and placing both copper and fiber cable, as well as troubleshooting issues that may arise. To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of 1 year experience in the field and possess strong problem-solving skills.
What You'll Do
- Splice fiber optic cables in both aerial and underground telecom infrastructure.
- Built, prep, splice, tag and test new cables to meet client requirements.
- Locate and repair cables faults to maintain existing cable network without causing signal failure interruptions.
- Validate and test end-to-end service provisioning for the cable network.
- Confirm accurate cable terminations on cross connect, patch panels, hubs and routers.
- Review site surveys, condition discrepancy reports, design drawings, technical manuals for cable installation feasibility.
