What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN Preceptor Program – Full-Time position at White Mountain Regional Medical Center?

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a clinical position responsible for the delivery of direct patient care within the LPN scope of practice, utilizing the established nursing standards of care, as well as, the established standards of nursing practice for the patient population it serves. Through collaboration with all members of the health-care team, strives to support a patient centered culture and gain knowledge and skills to further the practice of the quality of patient services provided at WMRMC. The LPN functions under the direction of the Nurse Manager for the patient population they serve and/or the Chief Nursing Officer and in collaboration with a Registered Nurse to exercise independent judgement in applying professional knowledge required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified responsibilities in the delivery of quality patient care.
This position is safety sensitive and subject to WMRMC’s Drug & Alcohol Policy.

WMRMC LPN Preceptor Program:
- A one-year training program developed for new/experienced, licensed LPN’s currently enrolled in an accredited nursing school to obtain their RN licensure
- Precepted experience includes a minimum of 2 (12 hour) shifts per week. Shifts will be ER, Med/Surg, Pre-Op and PACA
- Weekley and monthly check-ins with LPN, preceptor and manager
- Program requirements include trasition into the New Grad RN Transistion to Practice Program and a two-year employment agreement
Full-Time with Benefits
Must be able to work holidays and weekends
Required Education
Completion of LPN training
Required Licensees & Certifications
Valid registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Arizona
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
