Type: Part-time
The Out-Patient Representative Floater position is a non-clinical staff position responsible for registering and scheduling surgical procedures, diagnostic imaging and other ancillary services. Through collaboration with all members of the health-care team, strives to support a patient centered culture and gain knowledge and skills to further the practice of the quality of patient services provided at WMRMC. Under the direction of the Manager of Patient Financial Services the representative is responsible for the coordination of patient care as it relates to outpatient procedures, provides patients with basic information regarding location, appointment information, physician referral/authorization and answers related questions. May be required to exercises independent judgement in applying knowledge required to facilitate the processes of scheduling appointments, pre-registering and registration of patients.
Part-Time With Benefits (24 hours/week)
Position to assist with Centralized Scheduling and ER Registration
Required Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Required Experience
1 year experience in healthcare environment
Preferred Education Experience
Patient scheduling experience
Knowledge of health insurance benefits/coverage
EMR experience
Required Licensees & Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
