Store Associate/Cashier

The Store Associate is responsible for providing exceptional, fast pace customer service to our customers! They are the face of the company and are required to represent the company in a positive and professional manner.

Position Description

• Greets customers in a friendly manner as they enter the store. Provides fast and efficient service.
• Rings customer sales using an electronic cash register. Receives money, gives correct change.
• Assist with shift change by counting money in cash drawer at the beginning and end of a shift.
• Uses special equipment to process specialty products, such as money orders, credit card purchases, checks and lottery sales and redemption.
• Check identification for restricted sales.
• Cleans all areas, using proper cleaning procedures and materials, including (but not limited to) counter tops, fountain area, shelves, floors, windows, cooler doors, food service equipment, restrooms, and parking lots.
• Cleans and empties trash containers.
• Stock shelves and cooler, rotates and front faces stock. Removes all damages and out of code merchandise from the shelves. Price merchandise as needed.
• Check in vendor deliveries as needed using company guidelines.
• Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned to accommodate store operational needs.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication)

Qualifications

• Entry Level Position
• Basic math skills
• Ability to learn and operate cash register and other equipment as needed
• Must be 18 years or older

Job Demands

• Physically present at the workplace/store and in strict adherence to the Company’s attendance and punctuality requirements
• The ability, open availability, and willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the store are required, including, but not limited to, weekend, day, evening, and overnight and holiday work, as needed to meet the demands of the store
• Exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezer, outdoors, etc.)
