Hospice PRN Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Description

The Hospice Nurse - RN (Registered Nurse) utilizes the White Orchid Quality Standards to facilitate comprehensive nursing assessment, planning and care to maximize the comfort and health of patients and families in accordance with the interdisciplinary plan of care and regulatory requirements.

Qualification

• RN (Registered Nurse) license in state(s) practicing.
• Current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
• Previous experience in hospice, home health, general medical surgical or patient population specific (i.e.: geriatrics, pediatric, etc.) nursing.
• Willingness to serve on-call.
• Must have reliable automobile, valid driver’s license, and the minimum state required liability auto insurance.
• Demonstrated commitment to White Orchid Hospice’s philosophy of care, values, mission statement and organizational culture.

• Greater Corpus Christi area Including Surrounding Cities

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to hospice patients, ensuring comfort and dignity.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient services and discharge planning.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and uphold medical terminology standards.
• Educate patients and families about hospice care options and services available.
• Drive to patient homes for assessments and care delivery as needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $150.00 - $175.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
