Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team and ensure the highest standards of resident care. Duties
- Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures that align with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Manage staff performance through regular evaluations, training, and professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create comprehensive care plans for patients.
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient care in accordance with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards.
- Monitor patient outcomes and quality metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Provide guidance on MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments to ensure accurate patient evaluations.
- Maintain knowledge of current trends in nursing practice and healthcare systems.
Experience
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license; BSN or higher preferred.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong understanding of skilled nursing facility regulations preferred.
- Familiarity with MDS processes, medical terminology, HIPAA compliance, physiology, and anatomy knowledge is essential.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
