Environmental Services Housekeeper

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Housekeeper to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our facilities maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety, particularly within a healthcare environment. The Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for both residents and staff.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitization of nursing home areas, including resident rooms, restrooms, and common areas.
• Execute floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing to maintain high-quality floor surfaces.
• Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and effectively in accordance with established protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.
• Stay informed about the latest best practices in environmental services within healthcare settings.

Experience

• Previous experience in environmental services or commercial cleaning is preferred, particularly within healthcare setting.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to workplace safety and sanitation practices.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow established protocols for cleaning and sanitizing.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with staff and management.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
