JOB TITLE: Nurse Practitioner (NP) APRN – Pre-Surgical Testing
JOB TYPE: 4X 10 hours shifts- no weekends
White Plains Hospital, a 292 bed, leading award-winning hospital, located in Westchester, 25 miles north of Manhattan, NY is looking for a FULL TIME Pre-Surgical Testing Nurse Practitioner to join its growing team.
The Pre-Surgical Testing APP will perform preoperative medical assessments for patients undergoing elective surgery.
OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS
- Hospital employed
- 10 hours Day Shifts (1-3 per week depending on availability)
- No weekend coverage
- No evening/ night call required
- Shifts will be outpatient (perioperative medicine clinic in the hospital)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include collaborating with physician to provide perioperative assessments.
- Candidates shall be responsible for conducting a thorough history and physical exam, order testing as indicated.
- Candidate shall be responsible for conducting thorough pre-operative evaluations and documenting essential patient information
- . Documenting patient diagnosis, planned procedures, and relevant surgical and anesthetic history
- Conducting a detailed review of medical history, allergies, and performing focused physical exams
- Reviewing and documenting relevant diagnostic studies, ordering additional studies as needed based on established guidelines or clinical judgment

- Compensation- $139K-$ 186K ( depending on YOE)

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE PRE-SURGICAL TESTING NURSE PRACTITINER NP/ APRN
- · Graduation from Accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
- · Current New York State Licensure
- · Current National Certification
- · Current DEA Licensure
- · Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS)
- · Experience conducting patient histories is required.
- Training will be provided.
