JOB TITLE: Nurse Practitioner (NP) APRN – Pre-Surgical Testing

JOB TYPE: 4X 10 hours shifts- no weekends

White Plains Hospital, a 292 bed, leading award-winning hospital, located in Westchester, 25 miles north of Manhattan, NY is looking for a FULL TIME Pre-Surgical Testing Nurse Practitioner to join its growing team.

The Pre-Surgical Testing APP will perform preoperative medical assessments for patients undergoing elective surgery.

OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS

• Hospital employed
• 10 hours Day Shifts (1-3 per week depending on availability)
• No weekend coverage
• No evening/ night call required
• Shifts will be outpatient (perioperative medicine clinic in the hospital)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include collaborating with physician to provide perioperative assessments.

• Candidates shall be responsible for conducting a thorough history and physical exam, order testing as indicated.
• Candidate shall be responsible for conducting thorough pre-operative evaluations and documenting essential patient information
• . Documenting patient diagnosis, planned procedures, and relevant surgical and anesthetic history
• Conducting a detailed review of medical history, allergies, and performing focused physical exams
• Reviewing and documenting relevant diagnostic studies, ordering additional studies as needed based on established guidelines or clinical judgment

• Compensation- $139K-$ 186K ( depending on YOE)

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE PRE-SURGICAL TESTING NURSE PRACTITINER NP/ APRN

• · Graduation from Accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
• · Current New York State Licensure
• · Current National Certification
• · Current DEA Licensure
• · Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS)
• · Experience conducting patient histories is required.
• Training will be provided.
