A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SENIOR CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR
Schedule: This is a full-time, office-based project management position. The typical workweek is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional site visits and travel to networking events.
As a Senior Construction Estimator, your day begins with reviewing project plans and specifications, setting the stage for a well-organized and efficient workflow. You'll conduct site visits to gather essential information, preparing detailed cost estimates for both commercial and multi-family apartment projects. Your role involves collaborating closely with clients, contractors, and our team to ensure each project is completed on time and within budget.
Utilizing industry-standard estimation software, you'll develop precise proposals, coordinate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, and maintain strong relationships to ensure smooth project execution. With a focus on delivering exceptional results, you'll play a key role in driving our business growth and supporting successful project outcomes.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- 3 years of experience as a plumbing estimator in the construction industry
- Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and installation techniques
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Proficiency in estimating software, Microsoft Excel, and Word
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record
